Mark Gregory

Mark is a highly respected and successful contractor based in Surrey in the South East of England. Concentrating on high-end private gardens and landscapes he also specialises in the construction of show gardens for The RHS Chelsea and Hampton Court; with almost 80 medal winning gardens to his name. He is ambitious and driven in his work; attention to detail and technical expertise are his trade mark, regularly achieving awards and plaudits from his industry.

Education
1978-1979 - National Certificate in Amenity Horticulture, Lancashire college of Horticulture

1979-1982 - National Diploma in Horticulture, Lancashire College of Horticulture, including a practical year at RHS Garden Wisley, Surrey

Career
2008 - present, Co-Director, London College of Garden Design
This exciting new venture is due to open with a series of short courses for the 2009 Spring Summer terms and a full time Diploma course in September 09. Together with Andrew Wilson and Andrew Fisher-Tomlin, they aim to provide the best professional garden design education available.

2006 - present, Consultant to Bord Bia, Ireland
Advisory role in the development of Ireland's first National Garden Show, "Bloom". Panel member in garden selection, assessor and judge for the show gardens. First successful show June 2007.

2005 - present, Director, The Tutor Group
Responsive teaching organisation for garden designers, landscape architects and contractors running and delivering seminars and workshops.

1988 - present, Managing Director, Landform Consultants Ltd, Chertsey, Surrey
Working with some of Europe's finest designers and Architects on some of the most technically challenging and demanding Landscapes.

Working with a dedicated management team, and a 40 + strong workforce specialising in garden and Landscape construction, planting and maintenance and the creation of exhibition and show gardens. Corporate clients include the RHS, The Crown Estate, The National Trust and RBG Kew. Royal Parks.

Additional information
Mark lectures at several of the UK's leading garden design colleges and has delivered workshops and Seminar's for the Society of Garden Designers, Bali and APL.

Mark has been a past board member of the British Association of Landscape Industries (BALI) and is currently Assistant Chairman of the Association of Professional Landscapers (APL).

Alongside his many Gold medal winning gardens, Mark has received many awards and supreme awards from both APL and BALI for the gardens he has built.

RHS Judge and Assessor and a former member of the Chelsea Gardens Panel.

UK Skills finalist Judge 2007 and elected to the Board of the UK Landscape skills committee

Mark is working towards becoming a World Skills judge
