RHS Flower Show Success in 2012!

2012 is a busy year for Landform at the RHS Flower Shows!

In July, we won two Gold medals for ‘The Landform Garden’ and ‘Our First Home, Our First Garden’  – which both also won Best in Show for their respective categories. As if that wasn’t enough – we also won a Silver Gilt for the Badger Beer Show Garden we built for Flemons Warland Design!

Here are some images of ‘The Landform Garden’, designed by Catherine MacDonald at Landform, and built by Landform for the Summer Garden Category:

All of the gardens proved to be very popular with visitors to the show and celebrities alike. We had excellent media coverage of both gardens with filming in both gardens and interviews in The Telegraph and Evening Standard about ‘Our First Home, Our First Garden’.

Monty Don  and Rachel de Thame were filming for the BBC on ‘Our First Home, Our First Garden’. Monty said that he liked the garden most of all and Rachel particularly liked the colours used in the garden, the yellows, golds and blues and described the skip-salvavged Model Ford T part which had been made into a sculpture as beautiful.

Also for the BBC, Ann Marie Powell was filmed on ‘The Landform Garden’.  Ann Marie described the garden as a masterful space, using relaxing colours which are warmed up by the rust coloured render. She also added that she felt the Summer Gardens were giving the Show Gardens a run for their money this year, so with this garden winning Best in Category – that says a lot!

In May, we won a Silver Gilt medal at RHS Chelsea Flower Show for the Blue Water Garden, designed by Nigel Dunnett. The garden was a great success and people responded well to the formal garden.
