The Vitamin G Feature Garden at RHS Malvern Flower Show
We have some exciting news about the RHS Malvern Flower Show. Fresh from his success at RHS Chelsea 2021 with the Parsley Box Garden, Alan Williams is designing the Vitamin G Feature Garden for the show in conjunction with BBC Radio 2 presenter Jo Whiley, and built by Landscapia. The Vitamin G Garden is the first RHS Feature Garden to come to RHS Malvern. It takes inspiration from evidence-based research, published by Professor Alistair Griffiths and Dr Lauriane Chalman-Pui, that proves how gardening benefits our mental, physical and social wellbeing.
The design is based around a series of interconnecting capsules that form a daily dose of Vitamin G. It incorporates an area for contemplation, relaxation and restoration. A studio filled with art and plants will host a science hub to data from visitors, capturing their responses about the garden. In the design, the studio opens out onto a meditation or yoga platform, nestled next to a plunge pool and circular lawned area. The adjacent area of the garden is for socialising, featuring a secluded dining area. The scented planting aims to stimulate the senses and the mind, encouraging much needed connections to be made with neighbours, friends and family.
We would like to thank all our partners who are working with Alan and Jo to make this garden a reality: Mark Lane of Landscapia, Form Plants, Torc Pots, London Stone, Kinley, Millboard Decking, Stone Warehouse, Malvern Garden Buildings.
