The Landform Balcony Garden

Type: RHS Exhibit
Location: RHS Chelsea Flower Show
Designer: Nicola Hale - Landform

Drawing from her architectural background, Nicola Hale of Landform designed a garden inspired by the built-form and the natural world. Plants for pollinators featured heavily in the scheme with the integration of purple and yellow flowers, which are proven attractors for all species of bees. Bee “bricks” for solitary bees were present in the bespoke water feature, to create a habitat on the balcony. Bespoke design of the trellis & handmade pots in dark stormy colours created a beautiful contrast against the bright floral display.

The Landform Balcony Garden was an RHS Exhibit in the Balcony Garden Ideas category, new for the 2021 show.  Read more about the process and collaborations in our blog.
